Mission Viejo is a unique community. We are a family oriented community, centered around sports.
Sports are an important part of our Mission Viejo heritage. Flo Jo Park and Olympiad Road are reminders of that heritage.
We are proud of our Nadadores, who are Olympic and National champions, our high school baseball, basketball and football teams are CIF champs; our little leaguers and pony teams have garnered playoff berths and have come home with trophies. Mission Viejo was the World Cup Training Center for the United States Men’s 1994 World Cup Soccer Team. AYSO is huge in our city. We were part of the 1984 Olympics.
Mission Viejo has produced champion athletes in baseball and football and soccer and softball.
Growing up, I was always on a sports team. I played softball from six grade until I was 33 years old. Sports are an important part of learning life skills.
Sports, good schools and a vibrant community keeps Mission Viejo safe and secure for families
